Economic expert Hassan Shaaban hails that the American magazine Engineering News – Record “ENR” listed four Egyptian projects among winners of the Global Best Projects Juried Competition for the year 2021, with the participation of 21 countries in 18 different fields in the construction and building industry.

Over the phone to (Breakfast Show), he said that Egypt was the only country to win four awards in the competition and the projects are considered a miracle.

He shed light on the four projects; the first award went to Bahr El Baqar Water Reclamation Plant located in Port Said where the water will be transferred through pipes under the Suez Canal to reach Sinai to cultivate four hundred thousand feddans there, changing the habitat in the arena. The second project is the restoration and renovation of the Jewish Temple “Eliyahu Hanbi'' in Alexandria, whereas the third prize went to the construction of the 3rd phase of the underground metro as the best international project in the category of transport and the railway projects. The remarkable project of the new parliament building in the New Administrative Capital has won the fourth prize, he commended.

Shaaban added that the government is also concentrating on Upper Egypt and creating development chances in the Western Desert to limit the migration in Upper Egypt. We are modernizing Egypt and the state is working hard despite the nightmare of the coronavirus in its gigantic projects as the New Delta. These developments have a successful impact on the economy, he stated.
