Abolnaga: New Capital fast track to Egypt's new vision

Consulate Architect SeifAllah Abolnaga, president of Society of Egyptian Architects, shed light on the new lifestyle and human relations

Consulate Architect SeifAllah Abolnaga, president of Society of Egyptian Architects, shed light on the new lifestyle and human relations to be in the New Administrative Capital. Within many various approaches, the NAC as a smart area of 180,000 feddans will serve the country and its economy, he said. He believed that it will also be applicable with the Egyptian special norms with diverse of models so as to cover Egyptians’ future identity with creative solutions and a paradigm shift.

During an interview in (Daily Debate), he reiterated “we need interactions in a soft way”, adding that with more privileges we provide in NAC, the more happiness we attain for our new generations. For his part, competition as a must to be considered, the new vision of public buildings, culture and architecture should be a good example for the Arab nation. A strategic vision for old Cairo contributes to a successful paradigm shift for new Cairo, he asserted.

On being asked about the future of the old Cairo, he underscored that it will not be centralized all the country’s vital entities. As the old Cairo includes diverse cities which mobilize certain classes of people, it will be the same in the new capital where everything will optimize the Egyptian identity and meanwhile there should be future vision in compliance with updated innovation in life.

Likewise, Dr. Yasser Mahgoub, professor of Architectural Engineering and Planning, lauded the progressive achievements in the New Administrative Capital in light of the first phase to be launched by early 2020 when all state ministries and employees will be transferred. The NAC is meant to save the old and historical capital Cairo from all negative aspects, he highlighted

Further, he underlined the most aspects to consider in the new capital as sustainability and safety in addition to the new green river of landscape. “Culture activities there will be very attractive for all Egypt’s residents and foreigners as well”, he confirmed.

Speaking about the NAC in line with the neighboring new cities as of elAlameen, Ismailia, Zayed, Mansoura and others in addition to people’s skepticism about life there, he pointed out that the main aim is a new quality of life to provide across Egypt where new visions of new settlements are being created together in competition with each other.

Referring to the construction plan of a new capital as proposed in Egypt since decades, he gave examples of countries which got the idea as Brazil, Nigeria and newly Indonesia. According to him, it is a big challenge in the new capital to be vibrant enough for people in light of their new dreams and ambitions.

The dual interviews were conducted by anchor Ahmed Nader on Nile TV’s (The Daily Debate).
