Dr. Asmaa El-Zeiny, Official of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation for Al-Azhar International Students, praised the tradition of officially celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Egypt every year attended by President Abdel Fattah e-Sisi and most of Islamic figures in Egypt. This is a good chance to shed light on the importance of this occasion for all Muslims, she declared.
Shedding light on the ceremony held on Wednesday by the country's religious endowments ministry on the anniversary birth of the Prophet Muhammad (Moulid El-Nabi), Zeiny added in a phone call with (Africa Today) that Sisi tackled how this occasion should be an inspiration for young men especially nowadays where there are a lot of sufferings.
She believed that to follow the path of Prophet Muhammad as a model for our children and youth, it should be started as early as possible; giving evidence from Quran and hadith to convince them.
Furthermore, she noted that Al-Azhar, as the greatest Islamic body all over the Islamic world, plays its crucial role in spreading the moderate Islamic thoughts, referring to the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together signed by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb, and Pope Francis. The document was a great sign that Al-Azhar as an institution is working on creating a bright future for all human beings.
